On a whim and putting some trust into a tourism, Wonder Bus, agency which I am always skeptical off we ended up going in an amazing day cruise to the coast of Oman.
The tour included transportation from our residency to the port in Oman. At first we had misunderstood and we thought we would go by boat to Amman but instead it takes about 3 hours to get to the border and cross.
On the boat they offered us juice, tea and coffee plus a whole platter of fruits and candies on the side. Then we embarked on our adventure.
The trip starting paying off once we started to see the amazing views of the dry rocks contrasted with a clear aquamarine sea.
Then we anchored down on a bay where you could jump off the ship and swim around, snorkel near the reefs, where I actually saw a sea urchin, and go to the beach by boat. Of course it took a lot of convincing to make me get back on the boat since I was happily swimming around like a mermaid.
After swimming, snorkeling and falling from the banana we had our lunch which consisted of many an Indian menu buffet, and though it wasn’t a delicacy it was decent.
After that we headed off to the open sea to do some artisan fishing with just some nylon, bait and some weighs. Out of about 20 people on the boat only one of the guys managed to catch two fishes. Though I tried my hardest the fish ate all my bait and didn’t fall for it.
Since we didn’t plan much of the trip to Oman I couldn’t recollect a lot of information about it except that it is renown for its amazing beaches. So if you want to get away from Dubai for a while I definitely recommend the Musandam tour that is literally a bang for your buck.
